Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, 17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things.... Amos 9:11 is a prophecy promising the restoration of the "fallen shelter" or "tabernacle" of David, signifying the restoration of the worship essentials that took place in that Tabernacle. It promises to repair broken walls and restore Davidic worship to its former glory, often interpreted as a future restoration of some kind.

Bu the verse in Amos is somewhat reinterpreted and transformed to refer to what God meant the Church to be like so that both Jews and Gentiles would be one through Christ and both would praise the Father through the means of Davidic Worship.
