Easter Worship Songs and Music
Finding appropriate Easter worship songs and music for the most important Sunday of the year is something that worship leaders all over the world do during the two months leading up to Resurrection Sunday. Notice that I call it Resurrection Sunday because that keeps our focus as worship leaders on Christ's resurrection rather than the focus on the the Easter bunny, eggs, and chocolate. Pastors who put Easter Sunday Service on their website are immature. Easter is the name of a pagan holiday. Why advertise that on the church website!!
In heaven there are no songs sung about the cross or Jesus death and sufferings. All the music sung there is celebration music to honor and celebrate the King and Kings and Lord of Lords and the Father who is seated on the throne. So the Easter service should definitely be one of celebration and high praises. So looking for Easter praise songs that are celebration type songs is a priority.

This song was done about forty years ago, so it is forgotten, but is an Easter praise song that needs to be restored to the church. Listen to it and you'll agree I am sure. This song even got a Dove award during the 1980's.

The above song could be done as a solo by one person, but better yet, use about four people on the worship team to sing each verse. One person could sing the first verse, and the second person the second verse, and so on. The last chorus can be sung by the whole worship team and the congregation over and over and move into a high level time of free praise and worship afterward.
