Does God Delight In Praise Dancing?
How do we know if the Father delights in praise dancing? Well there are two different sources of authority that confirm God desires this kind of worship expression. Both the Bible and the direct witness of people who have visited Heaven confirm that praise dancing is the will of God and the Father delights in this kind of worship expression.
First of all there are a number of Scriptural examples of people who expressed their praise to the Lord by dancing. It was not only a way for Jewish women to express their love and praise for the Lord, but someone as "macho" as King David danced freely before the Lord and in front of other people with no fear of man. Here was the trophy of masculinity for the people dancing with abandonment.
If you look at what goes on in the throne room of heaven, which is confirmed by both Dean Braxton in a chapter of his book about his time in the throne room of heaven, and also confirmed by Kat Kerr who is caught up to heaven quite often, then you will be excited to know that God must delight in praise dancing as it would not be taking place so often in the throne room if he did not delight in it.
God delights in praise dancing by both men and women and it is not just women who express their joy through holy dancing. In Jeremiah
31:13 the Scripture says: "Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow." (KJV) So that is the proof that men also rejoiced in the dance and can do so before the Lord as King David did.
If you are confined to a wheel chair then you can still dance to the Lord using upper body praise dancing. As I discuss on the website page that describes this kind of dance, even overweight people can now be free to dance to the Lord using upper body praise dancing. So everyone can now use their body in praise movements to the Lord.
If God delights in praise dancing then Holy Spirit filled men and also Holy Spirit filled women should also delight in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and express this delight through rejoicing via the dance. It is important to value the things God values and not be like Michal who despised King David dancing before the Lord and spoke disparaging words and heaped judgement on herself for doing this.
